Posted: 08 Mar 2009 10:56 AM PDT Inspired by his studies in science and an expression coined by Frank Lloyd Wright, “Each material has its own message”, artist Christian Faur has a wide rang of work experimenting with materials such as crayons, shredded paper, oil, encaustics, and fabric and fiber in a very unique way. His crayon and shredded paper works are Trompe l’oeil’s achieved by placing color whether it be the crayons or pieces of lighter or darker paper to create the image he wants us to see.

Posted: 07 Mar 2009 10:19 AM PST The Hemeroscopium House located in Las Rozas, Madrid, Spain is an Amazing architectural work by Ensamble Studio. It took them a year to engineer the project but only seven days to build the structure, thanks to a total prefabrication of the different elements and a perfectly coordinated rhythm of assembly. The house materializes the peak of its equilibrium with what they ironically call the "G point", a twenty ton granite stone, expression of the force of gravity and a physical counterweight to the whole structure.
