Swedish Fashion Illustrator, Cassandra Rhodin’s work is definitely worth a mention. I can not say too much more about her since it was hard to source info online. Her style is very distinctive and moody, and there is a very nice commercial quality to her work.

Boston.com does this great column called The Big Picture: News Stories in Photographs. I think the function of the column is pretty self explanatory, but just incase, it’s a platform for telling news through photo journalism. And a place that will blow your mind with beautiful and super relevant photographs. To wrap the year up, The Big Picture created a 120-photo Narrative, Highlighting major events of 2008. I am so excited for the release of Antony & The Johnsons third album, entitled “The Crying Light”, expected to drop next week, on January 19th. Antony says, “The Crying Light is dedicated to the great dancer Kazuo Ohno. In performance I watched him cast a circle of light upon the stage, and step into that circle, and reveal the dreams and reveries of his heart. He seemed to dance in the eye of something mysterious and creative; with every gesture he embodied the child and the feminine divine. He’s kind of like my art parent.” The album has a melancholic sound but the feeling it conveys is quite contrary. Yesterday we introduced the upcoming Emporio Armani’s new campaign with Victoria Beckham, which received a great response. The same photographers, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, shot the upcoming Miu Miu ad featuring Katie Holmes. I love the mood, lighting and colors of the photograph but something about Katie in this picture just doesn’t work. I cant say if it’s the entire pose or just that exposed leg, but her body language does not convey the mood of the photo for me. photo via WWD Related posts:

Minni Havas an illustrator from Helsinki, Finland, is represented by Pekka Agency. Her work is done with colored pencils and masking inks. Love it.

After the Daft Punk/ Obama remix, let’s now talk about the Justice house : Paris/NY based architects PLANDA designed this house based on the cover of Cross, the album by Justice, by inserting a residential program on the iconic shape of the Cross. The Cross is placed on a cliff at Santa Catalina island, California. I guess it’s a project, I’m not sure it will come to reality?!
