Its the number 55 entitled Surprise - The holiday issue presents intricate pop-ups by Steven Klein, Gareth Pugh, Mario Testino and Steven Meisel just to name a few… The issue collaboration is with Krug Champagne - Its more than just a Magazine, its more like an Art book, the issue features movable images, 3d scenes, and surprise reveals. The pop-up folios are housed in a dark purple cloth-covered case with a magnetized closure and engraved numbered metal plaque. The Fifth Ave storefront was wrapped in Murakami's iconic Monogram Multicolor print last month. "The idea to wrap the Fifth Avenue maison in Monogram Multicolore came about earlier this year in an effort to do something truly unique for the holiday season. We wanted to do something that was festive and exceptional, but at the same time true to the brand. William Hundley Exhibition Posted: 16 Dec 2008 10:44 AM PST Mixed media artist William Hundley is showcasing his first solo show at the Kinsey/DesForges Gallery in Los Angeles. Hundley has created a large-scale on-sight installation, adapting the tangible textiles used in the photography (on exhibit), into a sculptural materialization. To note, none of the images are digitally altered—rather, human models leap like gazelles underneath segments of fabric, then captured at just the right moment, their identities are concealed and the textile forms take on another life. Chance certainly plays a significant role in the process, as Hundley acknowledges, "You may fail at executing your original idea, but the mistakes you make along the way have beautiful and unpredictable results." Posted: 16 Dec 2008 10:13 AM PST Grammy Award-winning rapper, record producer and Fashion Lover Kanye West plans to ditch his music career in favor of fashion. Kanye tells the London Daily Mirror he’ll move to London next year to begin at the bottom rung with an internship at Louis Vuitton’s UK HQ in Bond Street - “I’m going to go and take an internship and just do something that’s like completely normal, and just rap at the weekends or something.” I hope its not true !!?
