If you are in Los Angeles May 7th you have to go check the Get Rich Quick exhibition at Carmichael Gallery of Contemporary Art - Carmichael Gallery is proud to present a selection of artwork from some of the strongest voices in the contemporary art world, including Banksy, D*Face, Ian Francis, KAWS, Shepard Fairey, and Space Invader amongst others. Both original works and a selection of rare, sold-out prints will be on display. - the Opening night is on Thursday, May 7th, 2009 from 7.00pm - 10.00pm!

Silent Talk : Love Go’s
After finding out about Silent Talk from 20JazzFunkGreats, I give a listen to the rest of the songs on their myspace. From the bunch of lo-fi, dreamy, spacey, disco-tinged jams, I dig “My Risonare” & “Where Can I Go,” and I have a special soft spot for “Love Go’s.” They’re LA locals, they make custom CDs with homemade art, and the singer Kelly Crummer looks like she could be my sister (in which case I’d tell her to not post pictures of her rump on myspace), so I consider forking over the $15 to purchase said custom-made CD. I figure to myself: Is Silent Talk my new favorite band? Hmmm… no. But I would buy them a sandwich to show my appreciation. So the paypal button got clicked. Listen to “Love Go’s” Here |
