Posted: 01 May 2009 10:48 AM PDT For their May editorial Who What Wear did a flashback to to the OG Beverly Hills 90210 style. Everyone has been referencing the ’90’s grunge style but these girls bring you ’90s nerdy, sexy, and casual chic. The grunge was definitely not completely disregarded here but they did a great job creating the vibe. Here is what they had to say: “When you hear the words “nineties fashion,” most people immediately envision something sloppy, involving flannel, and heavy on slacker attitude. While it’s true that these Alice-in-Chains-influenced styles were certainly emblematic of the time, grunge wasn’t the only trend in town˜oh no! The decade was also front-loaded with lots of edgy silhouettes, bright accents, and zany looks, all of which are feeling fresh again. ” To shop these looks you can visit Who What Wear here.

Ellery Serves up the Trends for FW 09/10 Posted: 01 May 2009 10:08 AM PDT Young, talented and informed Russh Magazine Market Director and designer Kym Ellery is bringing it with her trend infused FW 09/10 Collection. Cut-outs, metallic’s, lace/transparencies, Balmain shoulders, harem pants and even a bit of grunge, all served on one platter. Its great to see some great RTW fashion come out of Australia, though they always lack a bit in their execution when it comes to fabrication and finishing of a garment, I have a feeling she has it down. I have yet to get my hands on the collection but its looking very good! |

One of the Masters of this art is definitely Sylvia Dell’ Orto but there also plenty of less known make up artist with great talent. As you probably already figured out, we LOVE photography at TrendLand but we also review Stylists and Makeup & Hair maestros, and at the end you see that is what makes great photography: The Team! The team you work with is as important as the model or the choice of lighting or clothes, and when you see some amazing editorials, its a result of all this talent blending together to make perfect imagery.
