Noel Stewart’s Head Sculptures Posted: 13 Feb 2009 10:49 AM PST “Taking inspiration from sources as diverse as Mayan Head dress, Contemporary painting, his grandmothers dressing table and decay, Noel seeks to modernize Millinery with a fresh look at how we dress the head.” British Miliner Noel Stewart’s work really caught my eye as you can imagine. His nonconformist headpieces made my mind travel for a moment to a place I have been before in my dreams. A place where women take pride in their appearance and are not afraid to deliver new trends. Unfortunatley my life is not yet conducive to this kind of extravagance, but I will create events where nothing less with be premitted. Related posts:

Posted: 13 Feb 2009 10:23 AM PST San Fransisco native Sylvia Ji’s portrait are symbolic reflections of herself and people she knows, beautiful curvy women with dreamy landscape and rainbows of colors. I Love her style, and especially the ones from her collection called ‘Por Vida’ where she recreate her own vision of the Dia de la Muerte. See some pics of herselff and her exhibition at the Corey Helford Gallery, and watch her video interview bellow. Related posts:

Posted: 13 Feb 2009 10:07 AM PST Alexis Taylor : Baby
I always privately thought that Hot Chip were the electro equivalent to the Beatles. Many of their songs are have a simple beauty to them… their lyrics are repetitive and the melodies are uncomplicated, but teamed with some sort of magic, the music is irresistible. On Hot Chip’s frontman Alexis Taylor’s solo debut, ‘Rubbed Out‘, he finally gives me reason to voice the comparison out loud. Not only does he cover Paul Mccartney’s “Coming Up” beautifully -[download Alexis Taylor's version for free here] - but his original compositions like “Baby” sound like something straight out of the fab four’s catalogue.
