Posted: 28 Jan 2009 10:08 AM PST Everyone is talking about the brilliant collab between Opening Ceremony and Pendleton. I mean how could this combination go wrong, one of the best stores in the US and one of the staples of American dress. For their 100th anniversary Pendleton worked with Opening Ceremony to create a full collection, including bags of mouthwatering designs. But the punchline here is not the collab, as you probably all know about it, but rather the fact that it is already in store at the La Cienega shop. Everyone is saying the collection is suppose to hit in August, but my little secret can set you ahead of the herd. I cant promise the whole collection is there but there are defintly some pieces including the raddest leather and flannel bags. images via refinery 29 Related posts:

Posted: 28 Jan 2009 09:59 AM PST French Photographer Mathieu Deluc have a really nice portfolio, working with pretty good amount of fashionista Magazines ( WAD, Elle…) and designers, He arrived into the world of photography a little bit by hazard - It happens after working as art Director for a pret a porter brand : “ In the prêt-à-porter, I was in charge of the choices of the materials, the casting, the shows. One day, I decided to make photos of the lastest collection. A nice British stylist saw those photos and asked me to do some for her magazine. I told her that I was not a professional photographer, but she insisted. I really enjoyed shooting those stories. An American writer saw these and asked me to do a book for Abrams/éditions de la Martinière. During this production we did some photos for Elle international. Thus, began my professionnal career! ” Pretty cool story and beautiful work Mathieu ! Bravo Related posts:

Somalian Rapper K-Naan Gains Intl. Exposure - Amused by U.S. Gangsta Rap Posted: 27 Jan 2009 02:15 PM PST It seems like the Godfathers of rap are running out of hard-knock fodder for their gangsta rhyme schemes. Yeah, it’s kinda tough to rap about the streets when your kids have their own shows on MTV (Snoop Dogg’s Fatherhood & Run DMC’s Daddy’s Girls). Arguably, rap music is rooted in the Blues. Hardship is an essential ingredient to the anthems of the genre. If you’re hungry for new music, check out Rapper K-Naan originally from the slums of Mogadishu, Somalia. He grew up listening to American gangsta rap and while respectful of their style and contributions he finds spitting about drive-bys and Bling small stuff compared to missiles and famine:
