soon to be real paintings...hopefully

Here be some composite digital sketches of a few of last years paintings dolled up with some photoshop generated enamel spillage. I feel like Steve LaRose and Dennis Hollingsworth all the sudden..but let's not forget the taping and exacto blading that will be required to protect the figurative elements and control the seething viscera. With any luck there will be a successful balance between chaos and order. Which is, like, man, what life is really all about. Heavy. Beautiful noise on the edge of failure. Failure being mud. Come see the old versions before they're gone forever. Actually it's probably even a mistake to post these sketches because they look hot and are alot to live up to. Risk is risk.

Asger Jorn

I'm considering going back to about 5 or 6 paintings from 2005/2006 and doing some Asger Jorn type renovations. I guess the work has just been sitting around for too long and I wan't to have some fun with it. I'm not that attached to it.. I'm not one of those people who horde things or cling deparately to sacred objects. Process is more fun. Objects are death. People who sell or make objects are morticians. People who talk about Darfur are celebrities. People who have no healthcare are my neighbors.
